HIGH-GROWTH AUTOMOTIVE DISTRIBUTOR ENVIRONMENT
GENUINE COMMERCIAL OWNERSHIP ACROSS P&L, DEALERS AND SUPPLY CHAIN
Details
- Own The National Parts & Accessories Strategy
- High-Growth Automotive Distributor Environment
- Genuine Commercial Ownership Across P&L, Dealers And Supply Chain
This is far more than a traditional parts management position. We are seeking an accomplished automotive Parts & Accessories leader to take ownership of a national operation at a significant stage of growth.
You will develop and execute the national Parts & Accessories strategy, with direct responsibility for revenue, margin, cost control, working capital, pricing and overall P&L performance. You will have the opportunity to shape how the function operates rather than simply inherit an established model.
A major focus will be growing the Accessories business across genuine and lifestyle products. You will develop commercial programs, campaigns and bundling strategies designed to increase attachment rates throughout the customer journey, while working closely with Sales, Marketing and the Dealer Network to make accessories a meaningful contributor to vehicle profitability.
You will also lead the end-to-end parts supply chain, covering forecasting, procurement, inventory, stock availability, supplier performance, 3PL warehousing and logistics. Using data including fill rates, inventory turnover and obsolete stock, you will drive greater efficiency while ensuring the network has the parts availability required to support continued growth.
Across the dealer network, you will establish policies, performance frameworks and incentive programs that improve parts retention, service absorption and accessory penetration. You will also build scalable processes, reporting and governance, oversee warranty returns and quality issues and act as an escalation point for complex dealer and customer matters.
This is a highly visible commercial role requiring close collaboration across Aftersales, Sales, Finance, Marketing, dealers, suppliers and international stakeholders.
You’ll Need
You will bring approximately 5–7 years’ experience in a senior Parts leadership role within an automotive OEM, importer or distributor environment, with genuine exposure to both parts operations and commercial Accessories programs.
You will understand wholesale and retail parts operations, pricing, forecasting, procurement and dealer support, and have the commercial capability to balance revenue growth with margin, inventory investment and customer experience.
Experience managing 3PL warehousing and logistics partners will be important, together with strong ERP and DMS capability and the confidence to use data to identify issues and drive better business outcomes.
You will also need excellent stakeholder management skills and the credibility to influence dealers, internal executives, suppliers and international stakeholders. Experience establishing or scaling a Parts operation within a new-market or high-growth automotive environment will be particularly highly regarded.
A relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or a related discipline is required.
On Offer
This is an opportunity to take genuine commercial ownership of a national Parts & Accessories function rather than simply administer one.
You will join an automotive business in an important growth phase, with the scope to influence strategy, build systems, develop the dealer network and create a highly commercial Accessories operation from the ground up.
For an experienced automotive Parts professional ready to step into a broader national commercial role, this is a career opportunity with considerable scope.
