- High Impact National OEM Fleet Leadership Role
- Corporate, Government, Rental & Leasing Focus
- Macquarie Park Location | Major Growth Opportunity
Our client is a rapidly growing automotive OEM seeking an accomplished National Fleet Manager to lead, develop and significantly expand its Australian fleet business.
This is a senior, highly influential position with responsibility for developing the national fleet strategy, driving volume and profitability, building dealer capability and establishing a high-performing fleet operation across Australia. You will identify and secure major opportunities across corporate, government, rental, leasing, SME and commercial fleet channels, taking key accounts from initial engagement through tender, negotiation and contract execution.
You will build and manage a strong national sales pipeline while leading major tenders and RFP submissions, developing competitive fleet programs and working closely with dealers to strengthen local fleet capability. The position will also have significant input into pricing, incentives, stock planning, product strategy and national fleet policies.
Strong relationships across FMOs, leasing companies, rental operators, government procurement and corporate fleet customers will be critical. You will also work closely with Product, Marketing, Aftersales, Finance and the dealer network to develop compelling fleet propositions and deliver a consistently high standard of customer experience.
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of a national fleet operation during a significant period of growth, rather than simply inherit an established program.
You’ll Need
You will have at least five years' automotive fleet sales management experience, with previous OEM experience essential. You will bring a demonstrated record of achieving fleet volume and profitability targets, developing major accounts and successfully managing complex tenders and commercial negotiations.
A strong existing network within the Australian corporate, government, leasing, rental and fleet management sectors will be highly regarded, together with a detailed understanding of dealer fleet operations, fleet pricing structures, incentive programs and national account management.
You will need strong commercial judgement, leadership capability and the ability to interpret sales data, financial information and market trends. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and dealer partners.
Frequent national travel will be required. Applicants must hold full Australian working rights as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
On Offer
This is a rare opportunity to play a central role in building the Australian fleet business of a growing automotive OEM, with genuine influence over national fleet strategy, commercial programs, dealer development and future growth.
The position is based in Macquarie Park, in modern newly renovated offices approximately four minutes' walk from Macquarie Park Metro, with convenient access to the major surrounding arterial roads.
For an experienced OEM fleet professional looking for greater autonomy, strategic influence and the opportunity to build something substantial, this represents an excellent next career move.
