The Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Workshop Foreman to join the service department of a high-volume franchised dealership on the Gold Coast. Working closely with the Workshop Controller and service management team, you will provide hands-on technical leadership and support to a busy team of automotive technicians.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with complex diagnostics, providing technical guidance, monitoring repair quality and helping technicians overcome challenging mechanical and electrical issues. You will play an important role in maintaining workshop standards, reducing repeat repairs and supporting the continued development and efficiency of the technical team.
You'll Need
You will be a trade-qualified Automotive Technician with extensive dealership experience, strong diagnostic capabilities and the ability to guide and support technicians of varying experience levels. Previous experience as a Workshop Foreman, Leading Hand or Senior Diagnostic Technician would be highly regarded. You will have a methodical approach to fault finding, strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to quality workmanship. The ability to remain calm and productive in a busy workshop is essential.
The Offer
A base salary of $70,000 to $75,000 is on offer, with performance bonuses taking on-target earnings to approximately $90,000 to $95,000. Working hours are 7am to 5pm. This position offers the opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a leadership capacity while remaining closely involved in the practical workings of a high-volume dealership workshop.
