Our client is opening an impressive, purpose-built classic and muscle car dealership and secure vehicle storage facility in Moorabbin this August.

They are now seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Detailer to establish and oversee the facility’s detailing operation. This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring every dealership, storage and customer vehicle is maintained and presented to an exceptional standard. You will complete premium vehicle detailing, showroom preparation, machine polishing, paint enhancement and interior detailing across a diverse range of classic, collectible, performance and muscle cars. The role will also involve keeping showroom vehicles clean and display-ready, preparing cars for sale and auction and ensuring stored vehicles are presented beautifully whenever they are collected by their owners. As the senior member of the detailing operation, you will manage workflow, detailing supplies, equipment maintenance and basic departmental administration. You will help establish processes and quality standards from the outset. As the department grows, you will also assist with recruiting, training and supervising additional detailers. You will work closely with the dealership’s sales, storage and vehicle build teams, making communication, flexibility and teamwork essential. YOU'LL NEED You will be an experienced Automotive Detailer with exceptional attention to detail and a proven ability to consistently produce a premium finish. Experience with machine polishing, paint correction, interior detailing and the careful preparation of high-value vehicles will be highly regarded. Previous exposure to classic, prestige, collectible or enthusiast vehicles would be advantageous. You must understand the additional care required when working with older paintwork, specialist finishes, delicate trims and vehicles that may hold significant financial or personal value. Experience supervising or training other detailers is preferred but not essential. Applications are also welcomed from accomplished detailers ready to step into their first senior or leadership position. You will need strong organisational and time-management skills, a positive attitude and the ability to manage multiple vehicles without compromising quality. The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable and comfortable working independently while contributing to a small, collaborative team. A current manual drivers licence and the confidence to carefully manoeuvre valuable and specialist vehicles are essential.
